Passage 2000 Case Study

When London-based charity, The Passage, wanted to upgrade their PCs they came to us to find out if we could beat the quotes they were getting. We not only did this, but included imaging, disposal, storage and project management as part of the service.

For over 30 years, The Passage has run London’s largest voluntary sector day centre for homeless and vulnerable people. The charity helps over 200 people every day to access primary services such as showers and clothes, housing and welfare advice, health services and employment and training services.

The challenge

The Passage were looking to refresh their PCs and approached us initially to find out if we could beat the hardware price they’d been quoted. Being a small charity, they were operating with limited in-house IT resource and funding to cover all the elements of the refresh.

Value added
  • Beat their best hardware quote
  • By handling procurement imaging and disposal - The Passage were able to save costs by using one supplier instead of three
  • Utilized our professional services to manage the refresh
  • Provided storage and fulfilment for 120 new PCs - imaging and delivering 30 at a time as and when they were needed
