Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to key questions you may have about our services.

what are your working hours?

Our standard office hours are 08:00 – 18:00 Mon-Sat. We recognise that you will not always operate standard hours and as such offer an out of hours service which operates 24/7/365, if you are interested in this extended service please contact us.

What is the average wait time for collection?

Average waiting time for a collection is 24-72 hours. If it’s an urgent collection, please inform us as we can prioritise this.

Are you certified and licensed?

We have a Waste Carriers Licence (WCL) which allows us to transport waste of any type. We have an agreement with the Environment Agency (EA) to store and process waste items including IT equipment (WEEE) this is in the form of ‘exemptions’ which are essentially allowances by the EA to undertake waste management tasks.

How do I know my data is safe?

We treat data privacy and protection extremely seriously. To help mitigate the risks of data loss we have processes and procedures in place which align with ISO9001:2015 and ISO27001:2013 standards and are a member of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) which sets the standard and monitors data usage for UK businesses.
We store all information collected during our interactions with you in a secure cloud application, protected with the latest network protocols and authentication.
We provide a Certificate of Secure Destruction for all IT equipment which requires elevated levels of data cleansing and offer onsite destruction for peace of mind.

Why do you offer a free collection service?

We understand that some IT equipment will require time, effort or additional cost to re-sell or re-use and we take that risk to offer you the most flexible and mutually beneficial service we can.

What do you do with our old IT equipment?

Our number one priority is making IT equipment re-usable, in a secure way, to avoid wasting technology which has residual value. We securely remove all traces of data in accordance with UK Government NCSC standards, repair any damage, replace damaged parts and sell this to our partners, other businesses or directly to consumers (depending on the item).
If we are unable to repair IT equipment, we keep as spares or reduce to basic components and recycle. We do not send anything to landfill.
